And update on Carter.... before I forget

I wanted to make sure I wrote a few things down about Carter lately. He has been so funny and I just don't want to forget some of the things he's doing now.

First: He has an obsession with plastic spoons. He keeps one in each hand and NEVER puts them down. He plays all day, eats, drinks, even sleeps with them. They are the first thing he grabs in his crib right when he wakes up. It's hillarious

He has started saying alot of words, my favorites are
Eyes- he loves to jab at your eye ball while he says it
stop- this has been a bitter sweet word. It's so funny to hear him say it. But at the same time, I realized this whole time I thought he loved me to chase him down and tickle him, but now all the sudden he keeps telling me to stop, now that he can say it. And this whole time I thought he liked it.
Milk, cheese, dance, car, nose, ears, "hop up jump in" (handy manny song" button, up, down.
I love hearing his sweet little voice.

He's also really into hitting me with a plastic golf club, which isn't always super funny. :(

And he is WAY good at jumping, he hops around the house all day. I think he got that from JJ.
I love my little C-Bob

Mom Jeans

Okay girls..... we need to make some kind of pact that we will NEVER wear pants like this!! I give anyone permission to punch me in the face if I ever do.
This is so funny!

My favorite line is,
"you're not a woman anymore.... you're a MOM!"

Carter's Hair

Carter has the most interesting hair. It's course on the bottom by his neck, and on top it's all thin and fine. Me and Josh were playing with it the other day. Here's a couple of the funniest styles we did.

We finally gave up and buzzed him.

Better late than never

My parents and brother came up to visit after Christmas. It was so fun to have them here, the kids had a blast. We had fun opening presents, watching movies and playing.
Some of their favorite things they got from Grandma and Grandpa,
JJ got a kids digital camera and a Zurg (the villan of toy story)
Carter loves his truck, his toy phone and blocks.

Funk Family Weekend of Fun Minus the Fun

We decided to pack up the family and go to park city with some good friends. We got a smokin deal because we signed up to do the time share presentation. I had dreams of it being so much fun; eating out, swimming, playing in the snow, shopping at the outlets, and just hanging out with friends.
Well to be honest.... Iam going to sound like such a brat but.... It was HORRIBLE! Now that it's over it doesn't seem so bad, but when we were there all I wanted to do was come home. The weather was so bad, our rooms were SO small, JJ decided to throw the worst tantrums I have EVER seen. I felt so bad for the people next to us because JJ was up till after midnight screaming (and he has a loud voice) "I want my stripe bed!" and "My poo is coming!" and "This doesn't look like our house!"
I feel like we didn't even see our friends.

SO, we decided we would love to do it again, but without the kiddos. Don't get me wrong, I love my kids, they are great and make me smile everyday. They just didn't make things very fun.
I sound like such a brat. OH WELL. Just being honest.

Okay, I'll be positive now.... Gas was so cheap we had to take a picture And it's dropped a lot since then. It was a very economical trip.

I think the boys MIGHT have had fun. I'm not sure though.

The best part of the trip.... going home with two sleeping boys.

Today I learned......

That it's possible to go into Costco, get ONLY the 3 items you went in for, check out, and be back in your car in 16 minutes flat. That's with two kids!
Amazing don't ya think?

A little late on my Thanksgiving post

Thanksgiving weekend was so great this year. Here are some pictures of the festivities.

I love these girls, I consider them my sisters

We celebrated Josh's dad's 53 birthday!

We tried to take family pitures, as the family grows so does the amount of pictures you have to take..... and you still don't get a good one. Oh well, this is such a REAL picture

The Family!

I shot a gun for the first time, it was a Thanksgiving miracle I didn't shoot SOMEONE.... seriously!

The kids table before the feast

The pretty grown up table

The woman who makes it all possible. She is such a great partier!

What a fun weekend

This weekend was such a blast! Friday night it started off with the ultimate girls night, dinner (new york burrito) and a movie..... Twilight. I have been looking forward to this for quite some time. I even had a friend hook us up with tee shirts that had our favorite twilight quote or saying. The movie was good, it was entertaining, not quite everything I hoped for, but how can they include all your favorite parts of the book in the movie, it's nearly impossible. The night was great though, good friends, good laughs, and Edward on the big screen. It's a winning combination if you ask me.

Saturday I took the boys to the Holiday Festival, they got to see my favorite round, jolly man. JJ was seriously so excited. He couldn't wait to tell Santa he wanted a kitchen (which sadly he probably won't get) And then after we had to go back and tell Santa that he didn't want the kitchen, he actually wants Zurg (the villan of toy story) Should I be conerned that the only characters he wants lately are the "bad guys"

And Saturday night me and Josh got invited to go to the CSI men's bball tournament game. We took the boys with us and plenty of licorice to keep them entertained. After the game some of our friends who were hosting invited us to come have some pizza and cheesecake. Nothing like a meal at 9:30 at night! It was so fun though and we all had a good time, even the boys.

Edward and Bella

So this last month I have spent every free second with my pals Edward, Bella and Jacob. Yes, I finally did it. I read the Twiglight series! And loved every minute of it, except in the second book when I balled my eyes out. I have to admit, I am not one to jump on the bandwagon, if everyone is doing it sometimes that makes me not want to. But my neighbor finally got me started on the first book and after that there was no turning back.
I have just purchased my ticket for the movie that comes out next friday. If you have been debating on reading the series you have just got to do it. You won't get anything done for a while but it's worth it

I never thought I would be so obsessed!

Where did October go!

We went to the pumpkin patch with some friends. Grandma had already taken the boys there but we had to go back because it was so fun. They had a hay tower, a little train you could ride on, a maze and tons of fun little things to do for the kids. They had so much fun!

We had Josh's family over for a halloween dinner, I wish I would have taken more pictures. I made soup with spider breadsticks and monster eclairs for dessert. His family surprised us by dressing up, so we had to put the boys in their costumes to get a quick picture.

Halloween was so fun! JJ was Buzz lightyear and Carter was Donald Duck. Carter couldn't believe trick or treating, he kept stopping and looking in his bucket at all the yummy candies.

The boys had fun with Josh's mullet wig, I think they look pretty good don't you?

Me and Josh were invited to a halloween costume party that night. It was such a blast, we went as...... well.... we're not sure. Just 80's trash I guess, Josh did win the funniest prize costume. Notice his awesome Eric Clapton concert shirt, and I was sporting guess jeans and la gears.
The hostess had made tons of fun halloween foods, and the decorations were so amazing. It was so fun. Than we went home and ate tons of candy, what could be better than that! I love halloween
