Weener Roast at Grandma and Grandpa Funk's

I feel like I am falling behind on posting all our fun adventures so far this summer. Last week we went to G and G Funk's to roast hot dogs and make smores. It was so fun and the kids had a blast!

Little Carter walking around.

Carter and his cousin Lexi posing for a picture

Here's an attempt to try and get a picture of all the kids together, Lexi was afraid of JJ's sticky smore hands and it kind of ruined the perfect poses they has just seconds earlier.

What in the world! Why can't I ever get a good pucture of my two boys?

JJ loved roasting his hot dog

Here are the kids with their roasting sticks, Let's Eat!!

Diaper Cake for Crew

My sister in law, Alish is having her baby boy Crew in July so me and my other sister in laws put together one of those darling diaper cakes. There are so many things you can do with it, it was way fun.
Alish has been living here with her parents while her husband is finishing up training for the FBI. It is so fun to have her an her two kids around, it's nice to spend alot of time with them before they move away to Arizona in 2 months. We will sure miss having them close, Alish, we have to hang out as much as possible these next couple weeks!

By the Way.....

Carter is officially walking, right on his 11 month birthday he went from walking only a couple steps, to being brave and walking 20 steps! I don't even worry about him falling, he walks ALL OVER! Way to go Carter! Let the adventures begin!

Carter's Doctor Appointment

So we headed up to Boise yesterday to get Carter's lump check out. He was born with a lymphatic tumor/cyst right on his left breast. After getting is checked out a few times they said it was harmless and may even go away. But as he has grown so has the lump so we were anxious to get up there and see what the doctor had to say.
I had the day totally planned out, we were going to go to the zoo, eat out, go to the doc, and then go shopping. Well, let's just say it didn't really go according to plan, we wanted to make it to our appointment on time so we didn't want to go to the zoo before and be rushed. So we got to the Pediatric Center and waiting for OVER 2 HOURS! It was awful, No one seemed to know where the doctor was or when he would get there. Our apt was at noon and he came in the room at about 2:15. JJ and Carter were seriously going crazy, they were both crying and hungry.
So the doctor made it sound like the lump has changed and is going to be much more complicated to remove. The cyst has vessels that have spread and will continue to spread into his muscle and tissues on his chest there. And where the actual lump is at makes it a lot harder to do a surgery with out major scarring and problems in that area. So to make a long story short, the closest place to go to get it checked and treated, and removed would be Porland, and it's going to cost a pretty penny because we would have to go back 3-4 times.
LUCKILY it's not a threat to his health right now. I don't want my kid getting made fun of cause he has one boob, so when he gets closer to school age is when we will have to seriously consider our options, and hopefully by than more doctors will be able to do it.
SO, despite the long wait and news at the doctor we were still able to get to the zoo, just in time for the day to warm up to 91 degrees. But it was still fun. Here are a few pictures of the day.

Father Day Shout Out Part 2

I have good memories when I look at this picture, I love my family!
I want to highlight my own Father now, and why I think he's great;
My Dad LOVES to golf, so much that he has a day every week when he hits the course with his buddies.
He loves spending time at his shop working on restoring old cars.
He is very laid back, you'll hardly ever see him real mad.
He loves his house pants
He enjoys a good fudge log
He's a total moutain biker, loves to ride for exercise and fun.
I have good memories of my Dad taking us swimming at the Country Club, camping, on vacations, to parades and other fun outdorr things. He did a lot of fun stuff with us.
He loves his Grand kids, and they love him.
Love you Dad! Happy Father Day.

Early Fathers Day Shout Out! Part 1

So I wanted to highlight the special Fathers that I know and love. First..... My Hubby Josh, and Father of my two strapping young lads.
Things that are special about Josh are;
he can eat more dried fruit and fresh fruit in one sitting that ANYONE on the planet. (without getting sick) Challengers welcome.
When he sets his mind to something he does it and does it well.
He makes me laugh everyday! Those people that know him know that he just says funny words, half the time he's not trying to be funny. I love it!
He never spends money, I like to spend his share.
He is a hard worker, but also enjoys relaxing and watching the history channel.
He's really organized.
He get's along and can talk to anyone.
He screws the lids on tight when I leave them loose.
He loves to cuddle.

He loves his two boys! So much that he might not want anymore for a while :)
He loves me, that's what I love most.
Happy Father's Day!

Creepiest thing! What would YOU have done?

So it was a little after 10:30 last night, Josh was sleeping because he had to get up at 5:00 am the next morning, and JJ and I were just watching TV while I was rubbing his back so he'd fall asleep.
All the sudden there was a knock at the door, I looked at the clock and thought it was pretty late for someone to stop by. I sat there for a few seconds debating on going and answering it. Then after about 10 seconds whoever it was started trying to open the door. About seven times they jiggled the door knob and kind of pushed to see if it was unlocked.
At that point I just walked back to where Josh was sleeping to tell him, then I went back out and looked out the window. I didn't see anybody!

Isnt that so creepy, even if it WAS someone we know, I don't think NORMAL people just try and open the door and let themselves in. What if the door was unlocked! So WEIRD! All I know is that I hate stuff like this, and now I'm a little freaked.
