I feel like I am getting so un smart lately. I have decided that I need to read more books or something because I feel like other than all the mom stuff that you learn, I don't know anything! When I learn about something or hear something new that little voice in my head says... "gilly, you should probably retain this information for future use in conversation, or just to have for general knowledge." And then I just forget everything! Do any other mom's feel this way??

Hey Gill. Yeah I totally feel that way sometimes. I am always wanting to read a book but seem to never find the time. I know TONZ of things about babies and kids (not a pro by any means) and lately sports too. But what about everything else out there I should know? I guess that's what you get being a mom!! But we're still surviving! Just don't exepct to have an intelligent conversation with me! :) Love ya!
Gilly, I totally feel this way. I think it is because for most of the day I am on a 4 year old level with little adult interaction at all.
I feel that way almost ALL the time. Having babies is making my brain cells disappear. Oh well!
Don't worry I feel dumb and I am actually in school right now and learning every day.
I watched a 20/20 last year that said when you are pregnant and 6 months after you have a baby that your brain literally shrinks! So sad, but at least when I feel or act dumb I have an excuse right?!
P.S. You'll have to read the comment on my last post from the Taylors (Natalie). She's a friend from high school, but I guess she's really good friends with your sister in law.
Gilly...hey girl. Yes ma'am I feel this way. I have begun to understand why my Mom sort of blocks out my little bros and sis. (youngest of 10 kids) I find myself doing that to kaia, not on purpose, just because my brain can't handle very much at one time anymore.
