I love the holidays, and I can already see how is gets more and more fun as my kids grow up. I have started thinking about all the fun traditions that we always did in my family growing up, and trying to decide what ones I want to carry on into my family. Some of the fun ones that I remember we always got new jamies on christmas eve. And ofcourse we did the the whole cookies and milk for santa, and set out carrots for the reindeer. We always had cinnamon rolls on Christmas morning, then after presents we would always go bowling or to a movie on Christmas day. And ofcourse later on we would run over the gingerbread house out on the street in front of our house. It's so fun to have things that you do every year, it really makes the holidays spaecial.

Carter's first tooth is coming through! It seems like once their teeth start coming they seem so big. He's growing up so fast!

The door is my canvas
So my sweet little JJ is into drawing all over the walls, door, tile and rug now. I don't know where that came from! He's been using crayons for a long time and has never colored on anything but paper. Let's just say he got in some big trouble. He's supposed to be doing a sad face in this picture. After he got in trouble I asked him what he was drawing and he said "a really happy face"

Bouncin Buddy
Today Carter bounced in his jumper for the first time. HE LOVED IT! I am so happy, cause J.J. loved it too, and spent many many hours jumping around in there. I think Carter was so excited to get up off the floor. And it worked great for me because I was able to get things done in the kitchen.

My favorite thing
J.J. is talking so much lately, and is getting smarter everyday. It's so fun to watch him grow and learn. He has his FAVORITE DVD, Little Einsteins great pyramid adventure, he wants to watch it like everyday. He wanted to watch it the other night and Josh asked him "where's pyramid" JJ said, "in Egypt!" Josh was just wondering where the DVD was.

GingerBread DISASTER!
Me being the cheap person that I am decided I was going to really go for it this year! I was going to make my own gingerbread house all from scratch! Lets just say I forgot the simple step of spraying pam after putting the dough on the sheet. It turned out awful! It was stuck to the pan so bad that we could barely scrape it off. I was so mad because I had spent alot of time making my own frosting and buying candy, and ofcourse making the gingerbread. And to make matters worse when I was at Costco yesterday I saw those dumb kits that everyone buys and it was only 8 BONES!! I learned the hard way this year. Luckily we had some grahm crackers, it aint pretty, but it does the job. J.J. had fun with it. I still think I might try to make my own again next year.

Doctors Apt
So we had Carters 4 month apointment several days ago. I love going to the doctor to see how big they are getting, I thought for sure he would be as big or bigger than what JJ was, but he was 2 inches shorter and 2 inches lighter. And he was still in the 90-95 percentile. MAN! JJ really was huge, and still is. Carter is such a good baby, I know I say that alot but he really is. He slept in until 9:30 today, and I went in to get him and he was just sitting in there so happy, I peaked down at him in his crib and he started laughing. He's so funny, and soooo HAPPY!

The Wii
So I'm not much of a gamer, but I am officially convinced that the Nintento Wii really is the raddest thing in the world.

Thanksgiving
I can't believe that Thanksgiving is over! Time flys this time of year. We went down to Utah and stayed with my family. I am so greatful for our families, they do so much for us, and I love them a ton! We went up to my Aunts for dinner and everyone had to come prepared with a skit, song, poem, talent pretty much whatever you want that has to do with Thanksgiving. Me and my brother Telden did a Thanksgiving Test/Trivia. Did you know that the average person eats over 4500 calories on Turkey day! YIKES...... oh wait... that might have been my intake.

Oh Christmas Tree
The tree is up and we're ready for Christmas!! Well except for the whole shopping for presents thing, that will get done eventually. I am excited how all my after Christmas bargain ornaments all came together. And with a help from my mother-in-law I learned how to make bows, they are great space fillers. I'm for sure getting in the spirit now!

Mouse!!!
So the other day when I was cleaning out the garage I saw a mouse run in! I had both garage doors open and I saw it run all the way across the floor and hide by our storage boxes. I totally screamed! I'm not totally freaked by mice, but I definetly don't like them getting that much closer to getting in the house. some of you probably remember my mouse in the shoe surprise that I had in Murtaugh. I will just die if that happens again! We still haven't caught it, it's out there some where. Ill keep you posted.

Little Carter
My baby rolled over today! I came out from putting JJ down for his nap and Carter was laying on his belly, face in the blanket, and grunting. Since his head is enormous he can't really hold it up that well yet when he is on his belly. I don't know how long he was like that, but he was so relieved when I came to the rescue.

Date Night
Last night me and Josh went on our first date since Carter was born. IT was so weird to go out with out worrying about the little ones. We went to Jonny Carino's. It was soooo good! And we had a coupon.... OFCOUSE! Josh hates when we eat there because he says I smell like garlic after. That is kind of gross, but it's worth it.

Happy Halloween!
Halloween was fun! Me and Josh took both the boys out trick or treating. JJ really started to like it I think. He was so cute, his "trick or treats" needed some help, but he tried to say thank you almost every time. The best part is coming home and sorting through the loot. I think I might have let him have a few too many candies, he was bouncing off the walls!
Did I mention that I love holidays?

Secret Video Camera
Have you ever thought how embarassed you would be if you found out there was a hidden video camera in your house watching you play with you kids during the day? I think I would be mortified. Today JJ made me wear the bunny ears hat from one of the halloween costumes we're borrowing from my mom, and I had to hop like a bunny all around the house. (okay so it's not like he REALLY made me, he was just so entertained I couldn't stop) At least it was a good work out, my calves are a little sore today. I guess that's a good thing since volleyball starts next week and I am still a bit jiggly.

Pet Peeve
Is that how you spell it?? You know what I HATE. Stepping on crumbs on the kitchen floor with bare feet. I just can't stand it! It's the worst thing for me for some reason. So if I'm coming over make sure your floor is clean! :)

"Look..... a moon!"
JJ was fascinated yesterday by the moon shaped milk stain on our ottoman. I hate to admit it but I think it's been there for 4 days. I just can't seem to get on top of my house work. It's been so frusterating. Our house right now is more cluttery than it's EVER been, even josh has noticed. I've never been a way big clean freak (I wish I was), I've always had a little clutter (at least I'm honest) but it's never been dirty! (milk stains) I feel like I never just sit around and do nothing, so how is my house getting sooo messy?? I have come to realize that with kids you just can't have a spotless house. I also know that I need to be more organized in my life, I love when things are in a place and everything has a home, but I really have to work at being organized everyday. Oh well, maybe TODAY will be the day I wipe that milk up!

All you need is a little non-fat dry milk
I think we may have taken the cereal deal at Smith's a little too far. We now have over 70 boxes stashed in our pantry. We figured we are saving money by stocking up, and since this month we have been working on our food storage we thought it was okay. Now we just need to make sure we have enough dry milk on hand, then we'll be set with our 3 month food storage.

Birthday Boy
J.J. is TWO!! His birthday was a blast! I'm realizing now that your kid's birthdays are more fun than your own. His favorite toy was his Buzz Lightyear, one of the characters from Toy Story. I think he might have stopped breathing when he tore off the wrapping paper and saw the REAL Buzz in his house. He also got a bike, which we praciticed on today. I LOVE BIRTHDAYS!!
